Welcome to the Cymbal Power Consultants web site.  We provide a wide range of services for users of marine, industrial and vehicle diesel engines, transmissions, generating and control equipment. We specialise in Detroit Diesel engines and Allison transmissions, but we continue to provide a comprehensive service for other diesel engines in many applications.  We have recently been appointed by Microcomms Marine as Authorised Installation Partners of their WatchMonitor™ equipment for our area.  See details under our Services page.

We have been based in Torbay, in the south-west United Kingdom since 1961. We have travelled extensively in Europe, particularly Mediterranean countries, in Asia and Africa, and have also worked in the Americas and Australasia.

Since the early ‘70s we have also manufactured and maintained special purpose generating equipment for standby and prime power in airports, hospitals, prisons, factories and other organisations.
